PREPARATION & SAFETY

Ayahuasca Retreat Preparation.
Health, safety and support.

A small group and personal attention do not remove risk. Begin with health screening, realistic expectations and clear agreements about the care available.

Share your health history before booking

Disclose medication, supplements, medical conditions and relevant mental health history in the screening process. This includes antidepressants such as SSRIs. The shaman reviews your questionnaire. This is not a medical assessment by a physician; discuss potential medication interactions and medical suitability with your prescribing clinician.

Do not stop, taper or change a prescribed medicine on your own to attend. Discuss your plans with your prescribing clinician. A retreat consultation does not replace medical care.

Food and preparation

Request the preparation guidance for your specific stay. Confirm dietary requirements and allergies before arrival. Instructions for food and plant practices should be explained by the team, with questions resolved before you travel.

Women travelling alone and personal boundaries

Women attending alone can request accompaniment from the designated available staff. Customer service will help you choose and confirm who will be present and how to contact them. Make clear your preferences about touch, private space and participation. You should be able to raise a concern and decline a practice.

Arrival through Pucallpa

Retreat accommodation and meals are included in each package. Local pickup and return transport, including whether their costs are included, are agreed in your written booking plan before booking. Arrange pickup in advance. The retreat is outside the city and requires onward travel. Confirm pickup names, timing, transport, luggage arrangements and the return journey before buying onward connections.

Accommodation, water and security

The retreat offers single-occupancy rooms, reverse-osmosis filtered drinking water and security staff. Sacred Private Retreat accommodation includes a private bathroom and shower; other packages have modern shared bathrooms. Solar charging and 4G coverage are available, although reception can be unstable. The centre has 24-hour security.

Ask about emergency arrangements

Dail López Silvano holds CPR certification. Before committing, ask about his availability, emergency transport, the nearest appropriate medical facility and who is responsible for coordinating help. Security personnel and ceremonial support are not the same as on-site medical staff.
